Hi, my name is Zahren Abdullah. I am 44 years old from Klang, Selangor. I am one of the tour guides for Unseen Tours Kuala Lumpur. I was involved in this project when I met the people from Yellow House at the camp at Kuala Kubu Baru. I stayed there for a couple of months before I got recruited for this new job opportunity.<\/p>

Now, while living already in Kuala Lumpur, I spend most of my time for tour training while having a part-time job on the weekends. I was well trained as a tour guide by a tour developer from Argentina, representing Yellow House. I was not expecting this kind of job and I thought of leaving the project since there was no salary during the two months training. But, I remained patient and stayed because I thought about the opportunity that was right in front of me. It’s a new challenge and that’s why I am willing to take it.<\/p>

A month later, I got my first tour which I catered to tourists from the US. A walking tour is not easy but it’s so fun! It gives me the opportunity to showcase the different unseen place and streets around my city at the same time,\u00a0 start a conversation with my guests. After my first tour, I could see my future and it’s benefits.<\/p>

Through this experience, I have international friends now. Looking back, it may have been a struggle, but, it was all worth it.<\/p>
